BAC-CHUS (Boscombe Arts Collective - Communities Helping Unite Society)

Founded in 2007, is involved with community events in Boscombe, Bournemouth and surrounding areas.

By participation in events such as Dorset Arts Weeks, BAC-CHUS stays true to its mission; showcasing the multi-talents of the performing musicians, artists and crafts people of the local community and providing a directory of resources and events available to the local community and also to tourists.

This is achieved with help from Boscombe Community Spirit; a centre established in 2009 for support and advice primarily to, but not exclusively, those who are socially disadvantaged in response to the local need of promoting growth and well-being through community involvement, education and support in a non-judgemental and inclusive manner to the community.

Boscombe Community Spirit also offers a safe and friendly environment for those who feel socially isolated or excluded and can also provide meeting space for local voluntary groups and committees.

The core of it’s mission is to establish relations and partnerships within existing community, private and government service providers so that Boscombe Community Spirit is better able to signpost it's clients to the relevant services to address their needs, promoting community harmony and cooperation by actively engaging with local groups and organisations.
